What an absolute gem of a restaurant; stunning, authentic Italian food, lively atmosphere and charismatic staff!
We met friends here for dinner one Saturday evening and the place was absolutely buzzing, nonetheless we still managed to catch up over a superb meal with one or two Birra Moretti’s too! There’s a great choice of “generously sized” Antipasti dishes; Bruschetta, Carpaccio, Insalata Caprese, Pepata di Cozze e Vongole & our choice, Fritto Misto – which was fabulous (although it’s a good job we shared as there was enough to feed a small country!)
For our main dishes, my partner opted for the classic Pizza Margherita. I’ve often accused her of being boring for ordering that, but the dough was incredible; light and thin… proper Roman style! I went for the Anatra all’aceto Balsamico – Roast Duck in a Balsamic reduction (pictured above) – and it was d.i.v.i.n.e! Seriously, it was the best thing I ate in America during our two week trip!
Having scoffed every last bit of the first two courses we declined the offer of dessert, although their choices looked like heaven if you’re a choc-a-holic!
A couple of “top tips”…make a reservation and if you’re using Uber or Lyft, make sure you know where you’re going as both drivers seemed to struggle locating it.
